There
are many college which offer degrees in medicine,
nursing, laboratory science, and other allied health
fields. You may wish to choose a program that offers
flexibility to change between degree programs without
having to take many different courses.
When
considering programs for Clinical Laboratory Science
or Cytotechnologist, evaluate the following:
- length
of program, number and types of course
- number
and experience of faculty
- is
the clinical experience (internship) included in
the degree program?
- how
long is the clinical experience?
- will
the college program place you in a clinical experience,
or will you have to seek out a clinical experience
on your own?
- how
many graduates are there from the program each year?
- what's
the average class size?
- how
many students graduating from the program pass the
national certification exam on the first try?
- how
many students go on to advance studies?
You
will want to select a program that best meets your
interests and needs.
